I have nothing against the premise of this book and have read plenty of post-apocalyptic, last one standing, SF over the years, but this was pretty grim and I found very little to alleviate the mood. There were a lot of fantastic plot elements that move the story forward without much explanation and the ending left many unanswered questions.
