I delayed reading this installment of the series because the focal character had previously been portrayed as an awful human being. He was stil pretty bad, but wow! what a back story! Kate Pearce really brings the reader in and wraps them in the tangle of past hurts, current insults and lusty diversions. This book offers a real story, with real passion. 4 dark stars!
