I admit it, I was a horse-crazy young girl. I read everything about horses I could get my hands on, and studied anything horse-related. I drew them, rode them whenever I could, and generally went nuts over them. I still like horses. But browsing through this book really took me back.

This book has lots of very good full color photographs. Not just horse pictures, but exciting photos. And introduced breeds I only had heard a little bit about, and a couple I knew nothing about. It also taught me some facts I didn't know. I certainly didn't expect that from a kids-based, coffee-table art-type book.

A book of pleasant surprises for an old horse fan like me. Nice big color photos and fascinating factoids about horses guaranteed to thrill anyone who has an interest in these fascinating animals.
