I loved this book and the other ones that were in this short series. I wish there had been more of them. Very descriptive, fired up the imagination, as do all of Walter Farley's books. I think I liked this book more than the Black Stallion (gasp) because as a horse crazy girl, who's parents couldn't afford a horse, I had dreams similar to this.
