This is a very long book. It is a hardback book that is 535 pages long. The print is small and there is much print on a page. What happened to the author and her friend was a heinous crime. It is interesting how she goes back to Oregon, 15 years later, to try to solve the crime, since there was never an arrest made, but I felt the book was overrated and overwritten. The author was obsessed with the story and thus it was too detailed and repetitious. There was too much of the author's introspection and philosophizing. It needed to be condensed.
