Holly Barker is the police chief of Orchid Beach, Florida. Holly is in pursuit of a fugitive named Trini who has fled to NY. Holly arrives in NY and calls Stone Barrington who she met when he was on a case in Orchid Beach.

Stone and Holly team up along with Dino of NYPD and Lance of the CIA to find Trini. Holly wants to take the fugitive to Florida to stand trial and the FBI wants him in the witness protection program.

A typical Stone Barrington novel. Four Stars
