The Teenage Liberation Handbook: How to Quit School and Get a Real Life and Education

Everyone should think twice before giving this book to a teenager. It sets them up for many unnecessary hardships, false hopes about the ease/benefits of quitting school, being unmotivated, and convinces them that life would be better without a normal education. It uses the deceiving term "unschooling" which really means dropping out of out school (and your child will be seen as as drop out no matter what term the author uses). This book already seems very outdated in ideas considering there are so many alternative schools now for those that struggle with High School. My friend and I read this book together upon entering high school, and we both found its message harmful, disastrous, and absurd. The cover says "This is a very dangerous book...Do not, under any circumstances, share this book with a bright, frustrated high-schooler being ground into mind fudge by the school system." No, don't show it to them because it could ruin their mind and life if they take this book too seriously.
