What an interesting book, narration, and main character! The main character really spoke to me; I felt like I was truly inside the head of an autistic boy. I began to understand why he groaned, why he hid in small spaces, etc. What was most unique about this character was how completely logical he was, at the expense of emotion. He thought everything he did out in such a way that it made complete sense and he never had to second-guess himself. He ruled his own life and made an incredible journey and came to many helpful realizations by using this incredibly pragmatic logic. I found myself wishing I could be as efficient as this kid, in thought.

The book's pages were peppered with simple artistic drawings, complex mathematical formulas, and bolded and italicized words. The author did an incredible job with making this book readable and fun and aesthetically pleasing to look at.

Christopher may have seen the world in a way most would consider "flawed," but the author made me see that there is, indeed, beauty in the way we all think; there is a process we all follow, a certain calmness in our heads after making decisions, and a specific and unique "window" through which we see our world and our world sees us.
