I've tried very hard to finish this book. I hate not to finish something I've started and I may make it yet. But this has to be one of the worst books I've come across in a long time. I picked it up because I was blinded by the hype, I admit. I thought there had to something interesting in this woman's year of self-discovery, especially to such diverse countries. She pretty much sums it up herself though when she says "What I'm alarmed to find in meditation is that my mind is actually not that interesting a place, after all." And I'm sorry to say, neither is this book. I don't think I'll buy any of the perfume either.
