I liked this book, but not better than book #1 (In the thrill of the Night). It is a good conclusion to the Merry Widows series, though. The characters are very well developed. The author does a great job of describing the feelings and thoughts of the hero and heroine as their relationship grows. The hero helps the heroine to rediscover her sensuous side, and the heroine helps the hero to get back in touch with his idealistic youth. They are a catalyst for each other to make changes, but they don't try to change each other. Just like a real, successful relationship should be.
Overall, it is a good read and a lot more "deep" than your usual romance fare.
