This is one of the first cookbooks I used. Good, solid recipes with step by step instructions, and pictures for each instruction! Great beginner book, useful for all ages. 122 cooking techniques explained - with hundreds of recipes and photos. Overall, very good cookbook. I used it more often than my Joy of Cooking. Loved this book.
