I was hesitant when I first ordered this book but it was suggested to me by a friend so I decided to check it out. That's why that girl is my friend !! She knows me well. I absolutely could not put this book down. I read a lot and if the first 2 chapters do not appeal to me I will most-likely never finish. This one had me in the first few pages. This book is witty and the main character, M.J.Holliday, is extremely likable as are her side-kicks. I laughed (out loud) many times while reading this one. Let me say I like mysteries and paranormal (vampires, mediums ghosts etc) but I don't really care for extreme romance and this book offered a little romance however it was more flirty than gooey over-blown romance. I'm in my 30's and the author seemed to target the 25-40 range quite well, the lingo and the thought process definitely catered to my age group. I would talk to my friends the way M.J. did. It was sassy and grown-up but still "cool". I would recommend this book to every female who likes paranormal and comedy. I can't wait to get the next book in this series !! Happy reading :)
