I've read better books by Kat Martin. I give this a one star because it was really drawn out and some of the stuff in there were unnecessary (for instance, he HAS to claim her to be his fiancee in order to 'rescue' her from Lord Malvern?) Seems a little extreme, although I do realize this is set in the Ancient Ages. Some of the girl's antics are ridiculous, tiresome, annoying, and very childish (isn't she supposed to be 18 or something?) Kind of hard to tell with her childish games. I can understand the need to be independent and stuff, but setting out on your own with no plan or anything is beyond careless. Throughout the book, she's known to be stubborn and willful, but then towards the end, she just gives up and doesn't even stick up for herself when her husband accused her of betraying him? That's quite a radical change! I could go on, but no time. I've spent too much time on this book already!
