This is a story about two youngsters who are killed in an automobile accident. Neither realizes that he or she is dead. Nick and Allie find themselves between death and where they are supposed to be going (the afterlife). The place is called Everlost and they must learn to exist in this new area which can entrap them. Mary, to whom Nick is attracted, views her role as keeping the Afterlights (those who exist in Everlost) happy but there is more to this situation than appears on the surface. And, there are enemies, The Haunter and The McGill. whose roles are to take advantage of the Afterlights. Of course, both Allie and Nick encounter thsee enemies and must cope with what happens next. The tale is imaginative and well written.
