Riviting, inspiring, educational and enlightening. CDR Richard Jadick, places you smack dab in the middle of life in a combat zone, with his riviting narration, while enlightening you on the procedures for medical care to Marines and Soldiers during the Battle of Falluja.
There are several chapters where he describes how he got there and what his mission and duties were within the Battalion (hense the educational part). These parts of the book may seem quite boring, until you get to the battle and understand why he had to educate you on these matters.
He may have been awarded a Bronze Star for his efforts during this period, but the book is Silver Star quality, at least.
In short, unless you are a anti-war, anti-military, anti-American, anti-Patriot individual, you will most likely LOVE this book.
