There is something familiar about his nurse. Gabriel Fairchild has gone blind in the service of his country, but he is hardly resigned to it. He blunders through his house like a bull in a china shop. He has chased off nurses by the score, but Samantha Wickersham is different-- she seems un-scareoffable.
