Read this one rather distractedly. I couldn't really get into it even thought the writing wasn't bad. (Spoiler) Didn't like the artifice of suddenly giving significance to a seemingly insignificant event that happened years previous to the events taking place in the story. I can't remember if the event in question was even mentioned prior to its being thrust to the forefront. (End spoiler). In any case, the book was readable and didn't have any significant plot holes. Not a book that held my rapt attention.
