Nicely written book. According to the "Preface," the author was a fan of "The Hardy Boys" mysteries when he was young. However, as he grew up, he came to realize how mass-produced the books were, and how good the books could have been if a "real" writer were to do such stories. So, he took it upon himself to write his version of a literary masterpiece based on the Hardy Boys books, in particular "The House on the Cliff." Any fan of the Hardy Boys would enjoy this book, after all it is a "new" old book. All the favorite characters are there, as well as locations. A fun book to read!
