This true story is mesmerizing. The Stranger in the Woods is about a man who truly wants to be alone - all of the time - and is uncomfortable with other people near him, including his family. His story is told by the author who came to know him, visited him, and felt compelled to explain to others that there are people in the world who are like this - and that we must learn to respect their need to be solitary. The Stranger's story is heart-wrenching and a must-read.
