I wanted to read this after the controversy over it in a news story on CNN. My sister had the first book on her Kindle, but I didn't want to start the story without having all three, so I waited for the boxed set.

All three books, but especially the first, are X Rated. This doesn't mean that the story around the sex isn't good, but its best to read the book when you don't have company, or when you have time for a little breathing room in between sessions.

The books are very sexual, not just in sex scenes, but through tensions through out the series. I finished the first book in two days (I mainly read before bed, I have two small children). When I started the second book, we were called out of state to attend a funeral. I brought the books with me.

I finished the entire series in less than a week (much to my husband's dismay *wink wink*). By the third book, you are rooting for true love to win and the sex becomes just a part of the couples' love life. It is definitely worth a read, even if you skip the sex parts and just read the story. However, remember that the sex is the basis for the relationship, and to really understand why he is Fifty Shades, you have to learn all the information.
