If you like the character of Temperence Brennan on the TV show Bones, you will love this book! Elizabeth's never experienced a warm relationship before the night she witnesses murders by members of the Russian mafia. Taken into protective custody at age 16, she's nurtured by the agents tasked with keeping her alive. A genius with computer skills, she escapes when threatened and goes into hiding for years. The small town chief of police can't ignore the mystery woman living outside of town. When she finally shares her story with him, they work together to ensure her safety and fall in love. Moved me to tears throughout - wonderful!
