This book is a great teen read. Their's no sexual scenes. Their's some making out parts that get close to going too far, but it doesn't. It's an easy read with a subject matter that interests teens, young adults and so on..... The story goes back and fourth in time in order to give the characters back story.
The main character is Jordan. She's anti-social and has many fears (example a fear of calling people she's interested in back, a fear of walking through her school hallway alone, a fear of upsetting her friends, etc.) Her life is in a downward spiral. A boy she dated over a year ago, Michael, is now dead. Many people believe he killed himself, but she knows better, he's now a vampire. Michael has been visiting her every night for the past three months begging her to let him in.
Jordan tries to figure out why Michael keeps visiting her. He says he loves her and wants to be with her forever, but that doesn't sound or feel right. If he wanted her so much why did he sleep with everyone in her school after they broke up. If he loved her why didn't he try to get back together with her. Still her resistance is wearing down with his persistence and her downward spiral hitting an all time low. It takes a lot of soul searching and the help of her friends to figure things out. Unfortunately Michael doesn't seem to want to let her go and the more she pushes him a way the more aggressive he becomes.
