The Golden Retriver orginated in Great Britian in the late 19th century when a flat coated yellow retriever was bread with a Twees Waterspaniel (now extinct), under the supervision of the Englishman Sir Dudley Tweedmouth, whos fondness of hunting in Scotland led him to search for the perfect hunting dog.
The Golden Retriver is one of the most popular prue-breed dogs in America. The Golden Retriver has shown incredible versatility; from being used by the authorities in searching for narcotics and explosives to being reliable See-Eye dogs, but their greatest impact has been as a family pet.

Gentle, friendly, and possessing the ability to learn almost anything a human can teach a dog, this easy to use manual contains everything about the purchase, care, nutrition, breeding, behavior, and training of the Golden Retriever.
