This book is one woman's story of not just child abuse, but a horrific incident within that abuse that clearly shaped her life. Her journey from childhood into adulthood and how she dealt with her abuse, by fragmenting into multiple personalities, in and out of institutions and finally finding help is absolutely fascinating. This isn't another "Sybil" story, in my opinion this is more riveting. What this woman lived through and overcame is unbelievable. I was glued to the book and finished it in a few hours. An incredible book!
