This is the 2nd in a series of 12 terrific lady-PI stories by Linda Barnes with a unique protagonist Carlotta Carlyle--6' tall redheaded former Boston cop, now PI, cab driver on the side, whose "main squeeze" is the son of a mafia don and the hopeful "just friend" is still a Boston policeman. All the characters are well drawn and the stories are page-turners. Set in the Boston MA area, I loved them and am hoping Ms Barnes will write some more!!!

The series starts with A TROUBLE OF FOOLS. Not all of the books in the series are available as audiobooks, but some are, and they are well done too.
