Followup to My Soul to Keep, The Living Blood follows the story of Dawit and Jessica. After Dawit's disappearance, the sisters set up a clinic in Africa to treat children suffering from HIV/AIDS with the Living Blood. They are forced to flee to avoid assassination by Dawit's monastic brothers, and set up another clinic in a remote village, where they are pursued by a ruthless mercenary in the employee of a rich man seeking their unique blood.
