This is a collection of humorous essays by a hunter/fisherman.

"Never Sniff a Gift Fish" (A cast which reaches a fish is never too short), "The Night Grandma Shot Shorty", and "Temporary Measures" were the best of the book. Temporary Measures is so true of any part of life--if you leave a temporary measure there long enough (such as duct taping the filter that isn't quite the right size into the vent over the stove--as a temporary measure until you can find one the right size) it will eventually become permanent. :)

The several essays discussing various childhood escapades made me laugh--testing a deep sea diving suit and coming out of the watering pond and scaring all the cows away, and attempting to launch a home-made glider off the roof, or riding a cow--I feel sorry for his buddy's parents who seemed always to be on the other side of their stampeding cow herd!
