A mediocre tale; I guess I'm just not clicking with these McKay cowboys. The plot was believable and the characters were easily about everyday folks, so there's nothing wrong there. I love hot and raw sex in my stories but even though the components were there and the settings right, these scenes turned flat and didn't come close to culminating in a *ahem* satisfying way. AJ was a sweet yet strong young woman and could easily hold her own when with Cord. But he, on the other hand, was slow to figure out that AJ had been in love with him for years and slow to lower his protective guard around his heart. However, Cord did a fine dance in redeeming himself in AJ's eyes--and mine--in the end. 3.5 stars.
