The Scam is the fourth in Fox and O'Hare series. The series centers around Nick Fox; con man and master thief and Kate O'Hare; FBI agent with her heart set on capturing the elusive criminal. In reality the two are actually working together to capture bad guys worldwide, after all who has better insight into the criminal mind than the guy on the FBI's 10 most wanted list.

Nick and Kate set out to put an end to Evan Trace, Las Vegas and Macau casino owner famous for laundering money and running junket schemes. The story takes the duo and recurring cast of characters including the hilarious Willie Owens and Jake, Kate's Dad on a trip spanning the globe from Vegas to Oahu to Macau and back.

The Evanovich/Goldberg partnership is a good one. The stories are fast paced and fun with just the right amount of violence. The jams that Kate and Nick find themselves in and the steps they take to get out of them are a little farfetched, so the serious mystery/thriller lover would be disappointed in this series. For me, this series is a good break from my normal reading genre.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley via Random House Publishing. Although I wasn't required to write a review I am more than happy to offer my honest opinion.
