I like many others heard the hype about this book and after Breaking Dawn came out..I walked into the bookstore and bought Twilight. Now keep in mind, I don't read vampire books, I really don't even like vampires..so I started reading this book already thinking I wouldn't like it. Boy was I ever wrong. I love this even above and beyond Harry Potter. It's more of a grown up version of Harry Potter.
The best way I can compare this book is to the 1980s soap opera of Beauty and the Beast where the bad guy really isn't the bad guy (aka the Beast or in the book's case Edward) and he's actually there to protect the girl (aka Beauty or Bella in the book) from the actual bad guys.
I loved this book and quickly rushed out the next day to buy the rest of the series. The story line flowed rather nicely and it just reminded me of how I acted around the first guy that I really fell in love with. I cannot wait to read the other 3 books in the series!
Trust me, if you were one of these that don't like to read vampire books or didn't believe you would like this book, pick it up, give a try, you'll be amazed.
