This book is second in the series of Return to the Red River about the time my grandparents on my mother's side moved to northern Minnesota east of Roseau which is not far from Grand Forks. I found these stories bringing life to how my grandparents lived.
My mother was born in 1911. I know she would have loved this book. My Mother and Father moved us seven siblings southwest close to Fargo-Moorhead when I was 11 and we lived there until after I graduated and I moved to the Twin Cities not far from Northfield. It is so interesting to read what life was like long ago and yet not that awful long ago. We have come a long way since that time.
