Book Review of Crimson Comes The Dawn

Crimson Comes The Dawn

This book wasn't quite what I expected. The story spans 30+ years in less than 400 pages - a feat for any author. I was hooked, I can't deny it....I just didn't get quite what I expected out of the book. It is a great fiction novel/account of the developments up to and including Nazi Germany as well as the aftermaths. There were a few moments that things were written a little to clearly for the average read (Please read RATED for MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY!!). I must admit, I truly find men's attempt at "romance novel" style writing a little bit fumbled. It does not enhance the story, in fact I believe (and I love my girlie books) that it detracts rather than enhancing the story.

Through all that, I can't deny that I loved the basic story, plots and characters. There are some ironic twists of fate for the main characters and it will leave you saying "Life is not fair", but overall - you will breathe a sigh of relief with Herr Eric von Kleist.
