Amazing book....Four wonderful stories. I normally like older period inspirational romance books, but this one fits the bill. The stories are more current in time. The first story with Connie Turner, a recent widow, she believes she's already found, and lost, the gift of true love. Her heart and mind are numb and she moves away from her family and friends. She meets a mysterious child and is drawn back into church to help this child earn a gold star, then meets a young veterinarian and the rest is history.

The 2nd story is about Hanna Marsh who as well is a widow with two children. She owns her own business of a "book store" and donates her time into helping a local children's shelter. A handsome lawyer comes into her book store and then things begen to unravel when the property owner of the children's shelter threatens to close the shelter....but, with Christmas time close around the corner you never know what's going to happen.

The 3rd story is about Lynn Murphy, who's husband works all the time. They don't communiate very well, since he wants children and she said she does, but then changes her mind. When their anniversary plans take a 2nd seat to her husband work, she decides enough is enough and runs away to her grandfather's house looking for answers.

The last story is about a daughter who seeks to meet her birth mother, who's now a pastor's wife. Andrea, the daughter, begins to have a recurring nightmare about her birth mother and has to see her. Upon doing so, she finds her birth mother is in the hospital and must seek her. But, a headstrong doctor won't have anything to do with it! You just have to read the book to find out what happens!!!
