I loved this book and read it while pregnant, preparing for a homebirth. It talks about popular birth practices can cause harm, gives Laura's perspective on birth and she chronicles one of her unassisted pregnancies and birth experience. She talks about the dangers of assisted birth and argues why unassisted birth is safe. She even gives advice to pregnant women preparing for birth.
