Contemporary teen fiction by Josin McQuein. Sixteen year old Dinah's cousin/BFF Claire has attempted suicide, and is in critical condition. Dinah discovers Claire's journal, and the reason for the suicide attempt. Dinah decides to get revenge against the boy who drove Claire to hurt herself.
I enjoyed this book. Once I started, I couldn't stop reading until it was done. Dinah is very spunky, determined and very loyal. There is a lot to admire about her. You don't want this girl ticked at you! And her friends are pretty cool, too.
That being said, I was able to figure out the plot, early on, and wondered why Dinah didn't put certain pieces of the story together earlier than she did. My only other issue, is, I'm not quite sure how I feel about the heroine committing certain actions that are clearly not the right thing to do. But, overall, I enjoyed it. I'll probably try to get a hold of the author's previous work.
