This book contains 80 full-color contemporary photographs as well as maps of the Holy Land, which let you follow Jesus' footsteps. It is divided into nine sections: The Prophecy, The Early Life of Jesus, The Ministry, The Parables, The Miracles, The Road to the Cross, The Triumph, The Early Church, and Biographies, Maps & Photography Index. It's visually very interesting and it added depth to my understanding of the environment Jesus lived in. There are photos of objects like a fifteenth-century scroll and Roman silver coins; of places like a caravan route, Bethlehem at dusk, a street in Old Jerusalem, Cana, Cesarea, Bethany, and the Sea of Galilee; and of people like a young boy with his donkey, women in traditional attire, a Jordanian farmer, and a Samaritan man. The text consists of Bible passages and photo captions add insights.
