I don't usually read this line from Harlequin and was somewhat appaled At the hero's high handedness. In order to gain the woman he has always loved, he blackmails her into becoming his mistress through the access he has to her biological daughter. It's a sexy fantasy read with his buying her all kinds of jewels and clothes, but she spends much of the book hating him and/or herself for falling for him. It wasn't bad writing, just not my cup of tea. In this day and age I don't think much of a male lead who wants to deny his spouse a career.
