Romantic Suspense author Finlay Donovan is once again having a hard time coming up with a plot to her newest book which is currently overdue. She has been spending her time trying to track down the person who wants to hire a hitman to kill Finlay's ex-husband Steven. Steven may have been a rotten husband, but he is a good father to Finlay's children. When a hitman accepts the assignment to kill Steven, Finlay knows she is running out of time to keep him safe. With the help of her accountant/nanny/sidekick Vero, Finlay must figure out who put a contract on Steven and who has accepted the job.

After reading the first book in the series, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the second book. Well, this book did not disappoint. Once again Finlay and Vero have got themselves in over their heads. Every time they try to fix the situation, it just gets worse. This book was fast-paced and sometimes laugh-out-loud funny. The story leans heavily on the things that happened in the first book. If you want to read about Finlay, start with the first book in the series. My rating: 5 Stars.
