An excellent read about six people who faced adversity and overcome challenge: Amy Barnes - mother of two struggled with obesity while being a single parent, Lindsay Beck - a young woman diagnosed with a rare cancer, Patrick Weiland, A network news producer overcoming drug addiction, Diane Van Deren, a former athlete who underwent brain surgery, Ron Clifford, a civilian hero of 9/11 who endured personal loss of family members in the wake of terrorist attacks, and Roxanne Quimby - an unemployed waitress who searches for secure future for her children - beginning a new business using bee honey and wax to establish a company selling bee products.
