I like the police woman who is the lead. She is not a petite little thing but a good sized gal which intimidates some of the men and some of them tease her about it because of that. She handles it pretty well. In this story a man from a good family is killed. She solves the murder, but her evidence is purposely ruined right in front of her and other policemen. She leaves, so angry and so torn, because she felt the man's death was justice, but it was not the law, and now she could not bring charges and prove them. She buries her uniform, unsure of whether she will continue on the force or not and unsure if she is glad her evidence is gone or not. I'll read the next.
