As noted, this is titled Running Wild and my publication date is December 2012. This is not my usual reading material but the premise sounded interesting and I like Linda Howard.
This book had some major flaws, definitely could have used better editing, endless pages of housekeeping and cooking do not hold my interest. I do not need details on cleaning a bathroom, thank you.
Carlin and Zeke are good romance material and I enjoyed their story very much. The villain, Brad, could have been fleshed out more to make him more scary. I just never got a feel for him. The other characters such as Kat and Libby were great and I loved Spencer. But the suspense never grabbed me, I never had a sense of eminent danger until the last couple chapters and then it just seemed rushed. So this is a 3 star book from me.
