The was the first true crime novel I ever read. I had just moved to Portland, landing in the airport the same day as his execution. In the car, the radio commentator said, "Today, Ted Bundy entered the gates of hell." As soon as I heard about Ann Rule's book later, I went right out and got it. She does not disappoint. From beginning to end, I was enthralled and could not stop reading. Being a former policewoman and a friend of Bundy, she has much to say.
I have yet to find a writer as talented in telling a true story as she can.
