I gave this book 3.5-4 stars. I had seen this book a few times before so I was a little excited to read it. It was an interesting modern day take on Jekyll and Hyde. Jill Jekel is a descendent of the famous Dr Jekyll. Her father was just murdered and his secrets are coming to light. The only person who cares to comfort her is Tristen Hyde, but he has some dark secrets of his own. As the relationship between them develops, so do the complications.

I found this story to be interesting, but a little flat. I found Jill's character to be annoyingly naive and goody goody for her age. I am all for females being portrayed in a good light, but there is a line. In regards to the relationship between Jill and Tristen, I felt like the emotion was flat. I wanted more oomph. The story built up to have a more action packed ending and then it just stopped. I felt that the author could have included more instead of just ending the situation.

Overall it is a good read. I recommend it to anyone wanting a quick read that is a bit out of the ordinary.
