This is such a sad story and told well by Clark Howard. I particularly liked the way he explored the history and accomplishments of the victims in the same way that he humanized the criminals. So rarely, in true crime genre, does an author take the time to paint the full picture in this way. The tragedy of backgrounds which created the bad decisions & impulses of the young thugs makes the book more meaningful. And the family unity & belief which built the families who were destroyed by the crime is a stark contrast.
