Ghost of the Moaning Mansion (The D.J. Dillon Adventure Series , No 8)

What else could it be?

There are no such things as ghosts. That's what D.J. Dillon and his buddy Alfred believe. So they volunteer to help a local schoolteacher find out what's going on in an old mansion she has inherited. Once the boys begin inspecting the house, peculiar noises and strange sights shake their confidence. Soon, they aren't so sure about ghosts.

As they search for facts about the house, the boys discover a legend surrounding a Chinese railroad worker from the 1800's--a legend with clues to the truth about the mansion's "ghost."

While the boys struggle to solve the mystery of the ghost, Granpa Dillon vanishes. D.G. believes that Grandpa had his own reasons for wanting to explore the old mansion. But no one in the house has seen Grandpa--and D.J. has no clues leading anywhere else. Will D.J. and Alfred find Grandpa before it's too late? And will they catch the ghost of the moaning mansion?
