What would you do if you happened to see someone who had been missing for 10 years? What would you do if you were a former prosecutor and now a reporter/author? What would you do when you found out that your husband of 5 years had been involved with this missing person and never told you? And who would you trust when people started dying all around you?
The action and suspense starts with Page 1 and never lets up. McKenna Jordan is a former prosecutor who was fired 10 years ago for going public and accusing a cop of killing a teenager and then planting the gun that was used. It was later found to be untrue and McKenna's life spirals down from there.
There are good guys and bad guys and some guys you just don't know what they are. Its like being on a roller coaster ride ... up and down and all around trying to keep up with the clues.
I stayed up long after my bedtime ... just couldn't put it down until I'd read the last page.
The book is well-written, characters are finely fleshed out. The story line is exquisite. And it was all wrapped up in fine form .. no danglers. I gave it 5 stars .. I really enjoyed it!
