I really liked this book. The characters were well fleshed out, if a bit ridiculous, and the story was interesting.

A young woman inherits the restaurant where she has worked for years and the property that go with it from her boss just when she's thinking about taking an internship abroad. To make things more interesting, just when she's starting to get serious with a new boyfriend, her childhood sweetheart comes back into town. Now she must try to keep her new business afloat, deal with family matters, and sort out her love life all at the same time.

One of the things that I appreciated about this book the most was the humor in it. The narrator (the main character) talks about her father telling her that she wasn't the blue-light special and that she shouldn't give herself up to the first guy who asked and at times shows the conversations/arguments that her head and her heart are having.

Overall I thought the story was well told and I really enjoyed it.
