Wow!! What a great tool this book is, and so easy to use.
My dad, brother and I just finished this book for beginner logic, and we loved it. We did it once a week for about 3 months. We have been "talking" logic since the very beginning. One of the first things you learn is the red herring fallacy. This fallacy, simply put, is the introdution of an irrelevant point into an argument. Someone may think(or they may want us to think) it proves his side, but it really doesn't.
My brother and I started talking about this fallacy, and the other ones we were learning, and soon enough our 6 and 4 year old siblings caught on. We explained to them what the red herring fallacy was and will never hear the end of it. Now, at least once a day, we hear "Red Herring" yelled whenever someone changes the subject, even if they has stopped talking about one subject, and started another. So fun to hear!!
We love this book and have recommended it to several people.
It is a easy to use in a group (or as a family), or alone. You will never watch a commercial, read an editoral, or watch a movie the same again!
