This is the story of a small group of people in France who survive a nuclear holocaust because they were in a wine cellar, protected by stone, when the bombs went off. The story is set in the 1970s, and some elements, particularly attitudes towards women, are dated, but it is otherwise an interesting and well-written tale of survival and starting over in a post-apocalyptic world. Recommended for fans of the PA genre.
