Good book for repetition and predicting. It's a fun read-aloud book, with participation. I don't know whether it's because the author/reteller is Eastern European, but the monkeys say "Tsz, tsz, tsz" rather than "Hoo hoo ha ha" like monkeys here in the good ol' USA do. It's not a rhyming book, although it has a nice rhythm. A slight problem may be that they talk about gray, brown, blue and red caps, but the colors really didn't turn out that way on the printing (blue turned out dark gray, brown turned out burnt orange, red turned out orange), so I'd be bugged using this to teach my Kindergarten class colors.
